Exothermic Furnace Brazing

Is brazing process that is performed on a continuous belt furnace. Parts are placed on a belt that continuously runs through the heating and cooling zones of the furnace and then returns to the loading area. This process can be used to join materials that do not contain chromium in their metallurgical composition. Unlike batch style brazing furnaces such as retort or vacuum furnaces, the benefit of using a continuous belt furnace is that customer’s parts can be loaded and unloaded indefinitely until the completion of an order, thus shortening the process time. Another benefit of using a continuous belt furnace is the time that material is at braze temperature, this style of furnace is designed to expose material to the braze temperature just long enough to perform a conforming braze joint.
